The next level in collagen induction therapy
Introducing the revolutionary Derma Pen treatment. FDA approved, the Derma Pen represents the next level in collagen induction therapy and is an ideal treatment for:
Stretch mark flattening and smoothing
Collagen induction therapy
As we age, the natural production of the skin’s supporting cells, fibroblasts, and the skin’s collagen and elastin, naturally diminish leading to wrinkles, sagging and hollows. Collagen induction therapy works by stimulating the skin to produce more fibroblasts, collagen and elastin is and is seen as an effective alternative to facelifts and other surgical anti aging treatments.
How it works
Collagen induction therapy and involves making ‘micro injuries’ to the skin with very fine needles. These injuries prompt the skin to go into repair mode, which includes the release of collagen, elastin and the stimulation of new supporting skin cells, fibroblasts. This, in turn, reduces the signs of aging, like sagging, wrinkles, hollows and uneven skin tone.
Why Choose Derma Pen Treatment
The new Derma Pen takes this effective collagen induction therapy to the next level, giving fantastic results with less damage than traditional methods, and therefore less pain and recovery time. Earlier treatments such as dermaroller penetrate the skin at an angle, meaning it causes more damage, and is difficult to use on scar tissue and on facial curves.
The new Derma Pen’s micro needles penetrate vertically, solving all these issues while still delivering excellent therapeutic result. Combined with a revolutionary auto vibration the Derma Pen increases the effectiveness of this treatment by improving the absorption of serums, whilst reducing pain and discomfort.
Derma Pen is an effective skin rejuvenation treatments but without the recovery time required of more traditional treatments such as chemical peels or fraxel
Derma Pen is effective for skin tightening, skin rejuvenation, acne scars and wound healing, and natural improvement in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Q) Is there any pain with the Dermapen Treatment?
A) Depending on the area being treated and how aggressive the treatment is, there can be some slight discomfort during the procedure. A topical anesthetic is applied 15-20 minutes prior to your treatment at our practice, and is removed before the Dermapen treatment begins to help relieve discomfort.
Q) What are the immediate after effects of Dermapen?
A) Redness (erythema) of the skin can appear, as well as possible pinpoint bleeding. The severity of erythema depends on how aggressive the treatment was performed and individual patient skin type. Minimal swelling may occur and be more noticable on the second day. Dermapen’s post procedure care will help alleviate redness and swelling.
Q) How many Dermapen treatments will I need?
A) Benefits of the Dermapen can be seen after just one treatment. It is recommended that 3-5 treatments about 4-6 weeks apart, are performed for achieving maximum results. In cases where a more aggressive treatment schedule is needed such as acne scar revision, a greater number of treatments may be necessary for maximum results.
